Did you know that the higher the temperature of gas is at the time you pump, the LESS AMOUNT of ENERGY you will receive for you money.
Now the Oil Companies pay the fuel taxes they collect at one temperature along the way and tax us and keep the difference. We get SCREWED (2) TWO ways at the pump these wonderful times. (A) LESS ENERGY or BANG for the BUCK. (B) LESS TAX money going to repair roads, etc.
That really SUCKs BIG TIME!
The lawsuits center around the oil industry's century-old practice of pricing gasoline on a standard of 60 degrees. As temperatures rise during warmer months, the gasoline expands, meaning customers get less energy per gallon. ( Hank suggest that you fill up when the temerature is the lowest durning the day.)
