How to LOWER CARBON OUTPUT

How to lower carbon output without hurting the economy

or expanding governmental powers.

The majority of people in the U.S.A. all agree that

ENTREPRENEURS can do far more
than bureaucrats in Washington

to help solve our environmental challenges.

What we really need is an entrepreneurial, technology and

science approach to help cure the Environment.

If we produced the same percentage of our electricity from

nuclear power as the French, we would take

2 BILLION, 200 MILLON TONS of CARBON

out of the atmosphere a year!

This ONE STEP would be 15 percent BETTER than

the TOTAL KYOTO goal for the U.S.A.

Do you really want people from OUTSIDE

the U.S.A. placing standards and fines
on YOU due to some International Treaty?

We can do better than KYOTO if we
Get some of these people out of the way.

We had much higher carbon levels

pre-historic time periods,

probably caused by volcanoes and

much higher temperatures in the past.

Over 11,000 years ago,

theGulf Stream stopped for 600 years for reasons

we don’t understand and Europe went
Into an ice age. Then the Gulf Stream restarted

for reasons we don’t understand and
The Ice Age Vanished.

Hank always says the world is always changing and

we will NEVER be able to change Mother Nature

but sure can help clean up the AIR.

Kids Stories

A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman, had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy just said,

"Nothing, I just helped him cry."

Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different hair color than the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted. A little girl said, "I know all about adoption, I was adopted..""What does it mean to be adopted?"

asked another child.

"It means," said the girl,

"that you grew in your mommy's heart instead of her tummy!"

On my way home one day, I stopped to watch a Little League baseball game that was being played in a park near my home. As I sat down behind the bench on the first-base line, I asked one of the boys what the score was.

"We're behind 14 to nothing," he answered with a smile."Really," I said. "I have to say you don't look very discouraged."

"Discouraged?", the boy asked with a puzzled look on his face...

"Why should we be discouraged?

We haven't been up to bat yet."

Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life,

I stop and think about little Jamie Scott.Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen. On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. "Guess what, Mom," he shouted, and then said those words that will forever remain a lesson to me... "I've been chosen to clap and cheer."

An eyewitness account from New York City, on a cold day in December, some years ago: A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold.A lady approached the young boy and said, "My, but you're in such deep thought staring in that window!""I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes," was the boy's reply. The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel. He quickly brought them to her.She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel.By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks. Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes. She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him... She patted him on the head and said, "No doubt, you will be more comfortable now."As she turned to go, the astonished boy caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears in his eyes,

asked her,"Are you God's wife?"

Want to SAVE 20 % or more on YOUR fuel Cost?

Want to save 20 percent or more on fuel costs? Follow these 10 simple tips from the Consumer Federation of America.

Check Your Air Filter
A clean air filter can improve gas mileage by as much as 10 percent, and nearly one in four cars needs an air filter replacement.
Cost Savings: 28 cents a gallon.

Straighten Up
Poor alignment not only causes tires to wear out more quickly, but also forces your engine to work harder, which can reduce fuel economy by as much as 10 percent.
Cost Savings: 28 cents a gallon.

Tune Up
A properly tuned engine can improve mileage by 4 percent.
Cost Savings: 11 cents a gallon.

Pump 'em Up
More than one quarter of vehicles have improperly inflated tires. The average under-inflation of 7.5 pounds causes a loss of 2.8 percent in fuel efficiency.
Cost Savings: 8 cents a gallon.

Check Your Cap
It is estimated that nearly 17 percent of cars on the road have broken or missing gas caps, which not only reduces gas mileage but may harm the environment.
Cost Savings: 2 cents per gallon.

Slow Down
For every 5 mph you reduce highway speed, you can reduce fuel consumption by 7 percent.
Cost Savings: 19 cents, by reducing speed from 70 mph to 65 mph.
Drive More Smoothly
The more smoothly you accelerate and decelerate, the better your gas mileage, with potential gas savings of 33 percent on the highway and 5 percent around town.
Cost Savings: 48 cents a gallon.

Lighten Up
For every 100 extra pounds carried around, your vehicle loses 1 to 2 percent in fuel efficiency.
Cost Savings: 4 cents a gallon, per 100 pounds of weight removed.

Don't Be Idle
Besides causing pollution, idling wastes gas. If stopped for more than 30 seconds, turn off the engine, and don't bother to “warm up” your car before driving -- it is not necessary.
Cost Savings: 1 cent a gallon, for every two minutes you avoid idling

Ways to SAVE on Fuel Today - not tomorrow - TODAY

Ways to save fuel
Slow down - boring but true. Above about 50 mph (80 kph), driving 10% faster will use between 10 and 20% more fuel, because air resistance is so much higher.

Ask yourself if the time you save is worth the extra cost or just start earlier and
slow DOWN LoL

Close windows and sunroof and take off the roof rack - reduces air resistance

Keep the air conditioning switched off
unless you need it because the weather is hot or muggy,
Do you REALLY NEED IT ON at this time is the key question
you might ask yourself
(but do run it at least once a month, even in winter,
or the compressor may fail).
(Around town, the most economical way to cool your car is
by opening the windows.
Driving at high speed, it's actually better to keep the windows closed
but turn on the air conditioning).

Clear out the junk - carrying excess weight wastes fuel,
so see if you really need to be carrying all that heavy stuff round with you
You know the JUNK you put into the TRUCK and NEVER take out,
Please Take it out NOW and SAVE on the fuel today
Anticipate - instead of accelerating madly and then having to brake hard for junctions or traffic jams,
try and anticipate the hold-up and
moderate your speed so you don't need to brake so much.
Braking is just throwing energy away!
A little bit of judgement will save you MONEY

Keep tyre pressures up -
sticking to the recommended pressure will save fuel
and also give better handling.
(
Goodyear reckon if your tyres are 20% under-inflated
you use up to 10% more fuel!)
And you will SAVE your TIRES, and they NOW cost Big Bucks
You can get "low rolling resistance" tires,
but the extra cost may not be justified by the fuel you save

Use a high gear - engines are more efficient at low speed than high speed, because so much power is wasted just moving the parts of the engine.
As long as the engine isn't labouring (at a rough guide, don't go below 1500 rpm), then change up
